The Jewellery Trend That's Here to Stay.

March 09, 2017

From Madonna striking a pose in the 80s, supermodel grunge-glam in the 90s, to just about every fashion influencer and it-girl today, the statement cross jewellery trend is one that is here to stay. F+H Jewellery owner, Sharona Harris, shares her tips on how to wear the cross jewellery trend and her favourite must-have pieces.

THE 'JACKIE' THREAD EARRINGS

"This is my favourite every-day cross earring. It's lightweight and feminine, and is perfect for layering with a simple stud or mini-hoop earring. The black gemstones add a luxe touch to this piece, but it is still subtle enough to wear with any outfit. It's also perfect for people that don't want to make a bold statement with their cross jewellery"

THE 'RICHIE' EARRINGS

This is the iconic cross earring from the F+H jewellery collection and named after the infamous punk rocker Richie Ramone. Worn by everyone from Margot Robbie, Stephanie 'Bambi' Northwood-Blythe, Lara Worthington and Victoria Secrets model Marloe Schorst, "this is the perfect cross earring for making a statement but still with a modern, minimal design, making it ideal for a t-shirt and jeans combo or with your favourite little black dress."

THE 'SIOUX' EARRINGS

"Small but not understated, these are the go-to earring for layering two-per-lobe if you dare." Named after the English female punk performer from the 70s, Siouxsie Sioux, this is the perfect earring for adding a bit of tough-luxe styling to your wardrobe.

THE 'CLAUDIA' EARRINGS

Inspired by the drop-cross earring styling as made iconic in the 80s by George Michael. "The 'Claudia' earring is great when styled asymmetrically, and paired with other F+H Jewellery statement earrings."

THE 'CHRISTIE' EARRINGS

"This is my new favourite statement cross earring, design in the shape of a Maltese cross and combined with a basic hoop and beautiful hammered metal texture. The hoop design of this cross earring make it the must-have piece for 2017 and the hammered metal texture adds a glamorous touch for your next girls-night-out outfit."

THE 'JOHNNY' EARRINGS

Such a simple design, but such styling impact. The 'Johnny' cross earrings, named after Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols, features a large gemstone and swinging hanging cross. "This earring looks great when your hair is worn in an up-style, to showcase the sway of the cross with your movement. The rose gold and milky quartz combination is my favourite for a more feminine edge."
