TREND REPORT: STACKING RINGS

August 11, 2015

Stacking multiple rings has become a mainstay accessories styling trend for the past few seasons. Not only is it a great way to update a simple everyday outfit but it has also become a red carpet favourite, giving an edge and youthful spin on high-glamour dressing.

With the Australian Spring Racing Carnival and event season just around the corner, co-owner Sharona Harris explains how to nail this accessories trend to give your outfit a little more tough-luxe appeal.

“It’s about nonchalant styling when it comes to wearing stacking rings. Your need to be confident with the look and not overthink it, mix them up,

stack them up and own it!” – Sharona Harris, co-owner of Ford + Harris

Top Tips for Stacking Rings:

Heavy Metal: Figure out which precious metal works best with your skin tone.

    - If you have pinkish skin tones, it’s best to avoid rose gold and opt for silver or gold.

    - If you have a naturally olive skin you are fortunate that any precious metal colour will suit your skin tone.

    - Those with pale & creamy skin look stunning in rose gold tones.

Mix it Up: This trend looks best when worn with different ring sizes, shapes and stones. It helps give the look a relaxed vibe. Try a signature cocktail ring, mixed with some smaller rings and phalanx rings to create a good balance.

Nail it: When wearing the stacking ring trend I like to opt for a simple nail colour, such as a black or nude, so that your jewellery doesn’t clash.
